Buybacks and burns

The Vault spends in one way: it buys a registered clan's coin on the open market and burns it in the same transaction. The only other thing it does is burn $CROWD above its cap. Nothing is sent to a wallet.

What is burned into a coin

  • A place in the daily contest (50 / 30 / 20 % of the day's budget).
  • The Debut.
  • A Ladder step.
  • The amounts of a Beef — held in the Beef's own account, not the Vault — into the winner's coin.

A place, the Debut and Ladder steps for one coin at one finish are combined into a single buyback. A Beef runs on its own 24-hour clock.

Limits

  • Each place, the Debut, each Ladder step and a Beef: at most 5 % of the money in the coin. Money in the coin means the $CROWD held by the coin's curve or pool, excluding liquidity added by others — a liquidity deposit does not raise the cap.
  • The buyback is cut into chunks of at most 2 % of the money in the coin at that moment, never more than once an hour per coin, at random moments within the 24 hours after the finish. Each chunk carries a price limit, so a chunk is skipped rather than executed at a bad price.
  • If the coin's curve is complete but it has not migrated, the program migrates it first, then buys.

What you can check

Every chunk is a public transaction. The clan page lists each buyback with the chunks done so far and links to the transactions, and the result card shows how much of the clan's coin was burned.
