Clans

A clan is a coin on pump.fun paired with $CROWD, registered on crowded. This page is for the person who launches one and runs it. Buying and selling is in Quick start.

Launch a clan

You need an X account, a Solana wallet and a little SOL. One X account owns one clan; one wallet is tied to one X account for good; the clan belongs to the wallet that created it.

  1. Press Create clan and continue with X. The form is pre-filled from your profile: name (up to 24 characters), ticker (3–6 capitals, unique), picture, and an emoji — every clan has one, unique across crowded. Add one link: the coin's X or your own; you can change it later.
  2. Connect the wallet and sign one transaction. It creates the coin on pump.fun paired with $CROWD and registers the clan. From your wallet: pump.fun's coin creation cost, about $1.6 of account rent, and 0.1 SOL into the gas tank that covers the clan's service transactions (fee collection, finishes, buybacks). None of it goes to the team.
  3. Your coin is live. You get the clan link, an invite link and a share card. Buying your own coin is optional; the clan page shows the owner's known holdings to everyone (see Trust markers).

A coin paired with $CROWD that was created anywhere else is not a clan and cannot be registered later. If the transaction fails, nothing is created.

Getting to the Arena

A clan competes once 20 wallets each hold at least $5 of its coin. Until then the clan page shows the count, and buys count toward it, not toward today's contest. The moment the 20th holder is in, the clan enters the contest already running. A clan that drops below the line later sits out from the next day until it is back.

Fees pile up in the clan's own account; once the clan is on the Arena they are collected and split automatically every few minutes.

Owner share

Every trade of your coin — on crowded, pump.fun, Jupiter, fomo, anywhere — currently carries the 2 % clan fee (Risks explains what could change it), and the owner's share is 0.6 % of trade volume, before and after the coin migrates to the open market. It accumulates on the clan account in $CROWD; the owner can claim it at any time, there is no deadline.

Two things send the share to the Vault instead:

  • Inactivity. The owner has not signed a crowded action for 14 days — Claim, Ping, a Beef; buying on pump.fun does not count. From day 14 the share goes to the Vault; sign again and it resumes from the next collection, what was missed is not returned. The owner tab shows a warning from day 10.
  • No $CROWD account. If the wallet has no token account for $CROWD, the share has nowhere to go and goes to the Vault.

The clan keeps competing either way.

Trust markers

Every clan page shows, to everyone: the share of the supply held by the owner and by wallets known to be the owner's, the share bought in the first block, and an Owner sold mark with the time of the last sale. The site shows the wallets it knows about; nothing is blocked — holders decide what to make of it. The team can hide a clan from the front page (scam, NSFW, someone else's brand); it is not removed from the registry and the coin keeps trading.

Running the clan

  • Links: one public link (your X or the coin's X) and a stream link.
  • Stream: Twitch, Kick or YouTube play on the clan page, Twitch and Kick with an automatic LIVE badge; a pump.fun stream shows as a LIVE card that links out. A HUD page for OBS shows the clan's place, today's contest and the timer.
  • Shillers: up to 5 helpers the owner names, by X handle or wallet. They get a badge and can propose an opponent for a Beef.
  • Beefs: a 24-hour challenge to another owner with your own money — see Beefs.

Clans built for someone else

You can launch a clan for an X handle that isn't yours — a creator you follow. The site checks only that the account exists. The clan is marked Unclaimed · created by @you for @handle, and the owner share goes to the Vault until they claim it. The handle's owner logs in with X, checks the clan, and either takes it — the share is theirs from the next collection — or declines — then the clan goes on without their name, under you as owner, and the share comes to you. Your X account is used up either way: one X, one clan.
